No Power to Fuel Pump
Ok, Vitals: 98 Dodge Ram 360 5.9L V8 Replaced Dist Cap Plugs Wires Rotar Coil Cat etc...
I have NO pressure in my fuel rail.
Fuel pump doesnt hummm. Pulled the harness and tested the 4 wires with a voltage light. ( Black, Black with Blue Stripe, Green with Blue Stripe and Blue with White )
No light means no power. So I traced the wires back to the harness. Checked the wires there. (drivers side, back of wheel well ) No Light means no power.
I checked the Relays. All the fuses. Nothing appears bad or wrong. But I still have no power to the pump.
I tried to find the emergency shut off switch - couldnt. Is there one for this year truck?
I cant imagine my relay being the culprit. I swapped them around a few times.
I get crank, spark - no fire. Starts when I pour starting fluid into the TB.
Which wire could I hotwire directly to the pump to get my truck moving?
Please advise.

Pump could be bad
-The PCM will shut down the ground for the fuel pumprelayafter 1-3seconds unlessyou are actively cranking it. You will need someone to crank it to check for power at the pump. If you have power while cranking but, the pump wont "humm" or energize then you will likely need a fuel pump. Make sure and get a new gasket for the tank when you do it.

Well, I found a bad power wire and replaced it. Power is now going to the fuel pump. ( green wire with black stripe )
Still no humm. By all accounts it sounds like the fuel pump is gone. I'll pick one up and swap it out tomarrow.
Thanks for the advise people. If theres anything you think i've missed, feel free to post. I'll check it again before I attempt the swap.

Well, gonna pick up the fuel pump. Called around and the cheapest one was 170.00 at murrays. Napa wanted 250.00. I'll try tp post when I get it replaced to let people know what I had to do. Off to work!
