have a 1997 dodge ram,, every time i shift it in gear it stalls right away,, if i want to put it in gear i have to press the accelorator n the brakes together so it wont stall, and the other thing is there is black smoke coming from the exgust pipe,,we hit a deep water before then that kept happening ,stalling and the black smoke

 

O2 sensor is damaged, or you got some part of the ignition wet (distributor, coil)
