Default Headlights

Anyone elses headlights suck. Granted they arent aligned correctly at the moment, but eitherway their not very bright. I am on the verge of buying new headlights (housing) and bulbs. Was wondering if anyone had bought any after market headlight (housings) or bulbs curious to see what they look like/how bright they are.

HIDs for the win. they are amazing! and not overly expensive (to those who can afford them).

do the lenses look dirty?
what aftermarket type bulbs have you tried?. silverstars?.. i had some in there before i went to HIDs and they seemed to be brighter than stock by about 20%, but nothing like the HIDs.

here's two shots.

bad night photo due to scratched lens

If the lenses are dirty, use toothpaste. It works really well to get rid of oxidation. I just used it on my lenses a week ago, and a couple applications and the lenses looked brand new.

yeah in some- i say DOT regs need to be laxed even just a little.

i saw enough cops in the last two days- day and night, and none have pulled me over.. so im lucky there.

and the lights 2ballast were 583 after taxes Canadian pricing.. so drop what about 75-100bucks for US
the 4ballast would have been 600 before taxes... i'll have to go look, but i think they were beamer brand.

You can get HID's there for $355 for the single beam ones. I'm not sure how much they are if you want them for hi and low beam. I've heard good things about Xenon Depot also. There are other brands out there you can get a lot cheaper too. You really need a retrofit to make them not have glare and a good cut off line. They arn't legal if the vehicle didn't come equipped with them also. That being said I'd like to try some next but I just can't see dropping that much money on headlights even though everyone I know with them says how great they are.

**** legal and illegal.., if lights will help to prevent an accident while driving at night, why not allow them., they bother noone during daylight hours.
