Default stock brakes

ok so my brakes are squeaking a bit. i think they might just need to be cleaned (been doing some mud runs).

i was wondering how long the stock brakes have lasted people, pads and shoes wise. i'm sitting at about 55k miles and was thinking it was about time to replace them.

thanks

yeah i noticed it grabbing a bit more than it used to so i decided to take a look at them. i was actually using the rivets and backing plate to stop on the drivers side. had about a 16th of an inch on the passenger side. so i got a new rotor for the driver side and new pads for the front. now to check the back in the coming weeks.

yeah i was thinking 53k miles (i just checked it again, time for an oil change too) was a little long for stock brakes for all the junk i put them through. mud, sand, water, hard braking, normal braking.. yeah it was overdue for a change.
