Default looking at lift kits...

i was looking at some lift kits and had some questions. i did some searching on this site and most seem to hate 2wd lifted trucks but im i like them. yea its not a 4x4 but i dont go off road really. i just like the look of a lifted truck. i dont need a big lift either. 3" or 4" is what im looking at. the thing is mines a 2wd and i have 265/75/16 on it right now. im almost sure 285s would fit with no rubbing. the 265s are i think 31.8"x10.55" and 285/75/16 are 33"x11.35". if i can already fit 33s what would 3" lift do??? the 3inch lift kits im looking at say with there kit i can fit 33s... but im almost sure i can fit them already. i dont want a 16" rim once i lift it im lookin more into a 18" or 20" rim and 33s or 35s if i can. i guess thats the question. because i only see most putting 33s on a 2wd with a lift kit would i be able to do 35s?

here is a pic of how it sits now.

and here is a pic of the rim i had in mind.

the tires im looking at are like 325/60/20 which is13"x35.5but i think they make a 305/55/20 which is a 12.1"x 33.3"....or i think the best thing is a 285/65/20 which is 11.3"x 34.7" which is a small 35" more or less. but there $300 a tire!

btw i think the 3" lift kit form fabtech is the lift im going to be doing. but not for some time. still need other things to fix first.
