if i change my fuelpump on my 2001 dodge ram 1500 qc 4x4 318 v8
do i need to use a OEM part or can i just cut into the fuel line and put a filter in
and use an aftermarket fuel pump

There is a kit to use an inline pump. I have never seen it, but from what I have read it sounds like you remove the old pump and install a pickup tube in the tank.
