Don't think better is really applicable here, they are both really good. I have used flowmaster in the past but I really like my 3" Mopar Performance I use now.

I prefer the sound of Flowmaster but both are good. Can't you get the Magnaflow in stainless steel though? If you can that would be a plus. IMO I'd go with which one you think has a nicer tone.

I agree, go with the one that you think sounds the best. Listen to other people's trucks and see which brand of mufflergives you the sound you are looking for. Also, flowmaster's website has some sound clips of different mufflers

Size? How often do you drive over 3000rpm or race your truck?

3 inch if you are going single catback and 2.5 if you are goin si/do. also dont buy a system. purchase a set of mufflers of your choice and have a shop bend and hang the pipe for you. it is cheaper and most places if you pay in cash wont charge sales tax. i paid 250.00 out the door for my imco 3 inch single catback

My husband paid $250 for my Mother's Day gift of a Jeg's dual cat-back system with glass-packed stainless single-wall tips for my '97 1500 red goat. I wanted dual pipes that look like the Corvette I used to have and wanted no muffler. The Vette I have now has different tips, thick walledstainless Corsa tips, sans mufflers. The glass packs keep the truck'snoise from being obnoxious. Bothvehicles have about the same volume now.The trucks tips' outlets are 3.5 inches, and the pipes are 2.5 inches across. The system is bolt-together, no shop required, but some improv skills are a plus. My husband had to fabricate hanger modifications. The only gripe is a resonance at 2,000 rpm, the same as in my car, not a harbringer of doom, but not a pretty sound.
