Default Another custom CAI

Thanks go to Bigschwerm for the air cleaner[sm=thanx.gif], HankL for info[sm=thanx.gif], and mopowar for posting pics just for me,[sm=thanx.gif]and everyone else who answered my questions.

I haven't done any scientific testing yet, but when I open the hood it sure looks impressive!

Sweet. Where do the ducts end up? After having to seal the box I got up, I wish I had found that one on ebay first. I didn't pay a whole lot more than what those are running, but it sure looks alot easier to seal.

Yup, looks like you dismantled your wifes dryer for parts too. That's always been my main complaint about the Ram Air Box, the ducting makes it look like a cheap setup on every truck I have seen it installed on. You should paint them black.
Good thing it performs good. I think you'll like it from everything I have read about them. Be sure to post results (performance and mpg).

I agree that it looks a little cheap with the dryer duct. The expandable duct looks a little better IMO. It looks like the duct above is insulated, so that might work better. Before I put the duct on, I experimented with heating a 4" pvc conduit that I hadwith a acetylene torch, but I couldn't get the proper bends in such a short distance. Rubber hose would be another option, but thatwould be a bit more pricey.

The ducts go to the foglight holes in the front bumper. At the bottom of the second pic you can see the holes.

This setup made my exhaust louder. Did anyone else's exhaust get louder after removing the factory air cleaner and installing a CAI?
