Well for all who have read my last thread about putting all those perfomance parts on this is what happened. The guy said hey you can put this intake manifold and TB on yourself its really easy so you dont have to pay me labor. Cool i thought i took my truck home that night and planned on working on it in the morning. WellI wake up walk out side and see my truck had a bunch of dents. Peanutbutter, Bologna, and egg yolk all over it, the windshield was smashed, it had numerous key scratches all over it, and ripped my roll pan of (it was fiberglass). Somebody just beat the **** outa my truck! so i go to wash it all off i mean scratches looked like it was from tree branches and dents werent as bad but still. I started to wash it and my paint started flaking off piece by piece. I guess all that stuff sat there long enough overnight that it got into the coating. Yeah im pissed and yeah if i find out who did it im gonna beat the living hell out of them. Even though violence doesnt solve anything and im not much a fighter this draws the line. Im not too upset cause my insurance covered it all with only $500 (deductable) so now i cant get all my parts put on there at all. Funny thing is it was in my front yard.... So i guess ill keep my 17 mag rifle out and park my truck out front and start scoping every night. I wouldnt mind cappin someone in the *** for vandalizment andtrespassing!!! How immature can people get nowadays? I mean if u have a problem with someone why mess there truck up. ARG!

I feel your sentiments right with you...I'd do the same thing if I found out who did it...except knowing me, I'd take it a bit further...nothing all that illegal but enough to really ruin their month...

 

Ill try to get the insurance pics up here soon i didnt think about that but the paint was stained really bad. It flaked off in many many spots. The roll pan was ripped right out of the bolts. The windshield looked like if you were to smash it and it cracked out in a webbed pattern. the dents look like if someone took a slingshot and shot it about 30 times. all the mesh in the grill was ripped out. I just am pissed off....

 

Sorry to hear about your truck. In my younger days if that'd happened to me and I knew who did it, I would have probably had to do a nickel. There is an old adage- discretion is the better part of valor- that could be summed up as- don't shoot anybody over a truck. I would call the cops. That is a nice truck. I hope you are able to get it back like it was.

I was the one who asked about the manifold. I checked into it after reading your post, and, as of now, Eddy doesn't make a efi manifold for the magnums. There has beena rumor going around about this that was, I believe, generated by Hughes, but according to Edelbrock there is no such animal.You may want to return it to help with the deductible.

The green race stripes look good. I would stick with them when you have it repainted. Good luck.

Not if you still intend to use mpi. Thatis a carburetor manifold. Thats what got me so excited. When I read your list of mods that you intented to do, I saw tb listed then I saw Eddy manifold. I talked with a guy at Hughes in Jan. who said that in March that they would be coming out with a new product announcement about that manifold that you linked with injector bosses. Well here it is June........ so the story goes. If you look at the itempicture that you linked, you will seethere are no injector bosses.

Is it possible thatthis guy that recommended the partsmay be part of the **** that just happened to you?

nah they werent recommended just i thought it would fit. well ima cancel order on that and get the 2bbl M1 intake manifold so that should do it right? plus im keeping the green stripes and running them down a paintable grill and the whole front bumper. Itll look nice.. THNX

 

dude thats why you should stick to one girlfriend at a time[X(]. Just kidding I hate when stuff like that hapenes. I had a really expensive moutian bike stolen from my yard alon with all my loose fishing equipment from my boat(the bike was chained to the boat). Still pisses me off fishing gear was covered but not the bike. Really sucks! I miss my bike.
Any way as long as insurance will cover it life isnt that bad.

 

that sucks man........happened to me before with a diff. vehicle also i just looked at it as a opportunity for new parts and try something new.....look into some some house of color black thats what i had mine redone in...3 coats of black and 3 coats of clear best paint job ive had yet but was a little pricey a little over 5000.00

*Did you file apolice report? that wouldn't be a bad idea if you haven't already.
Vehicles get vandalized all the time, soeven if the ******** who did it never touch a car again, theycan probably blame thenext person who vandalizes avehicle in your area and make them pay for your deductable.
