Default Ball joints

This question is for any dodge techs/people that have done ball joints.

I own a 2500 ram hd 97, im doing the ball joints, I can get the 2 upper ball joints to seat into the axle housing all the way both of them are like 1/4 of an inch away. Any suggestions? the bottoms are all the way in and are good. I cant figure it out, do i have to get rid of that washer up top thats on there stock or just gun them on more or something...?

so you are saying the top ball joints will not seat in all the way? They should go in fine, all i can think of is that they might not be going in completely straight. When i did mine, it took me a while to get them to go in perfect.

The ball joint its self seats infine, its when you take the whole kunckle and i try to put it back onto the axle houseing/tube what ever you wanna call it. the lower will go into it fine but the upper will not. i might hone out the hole a bit im not sure.
