Default for those hesitant about muffler change

I have been in need of a muffler change in a bad way for about 6 months. My cat broke up and filled my muffler and was killing my power. I was hesitant about getting a Flowmaster because I like to be able to hear myself think while driving. Well, today I had a Flowmaster Super 40 put on with a single 3". That muffler is WICKED. I really can't even hear the exhaustunder normal driving unless I'm really into the throttle. From outside the vehicle though it's massive. I park under a carport at homeand when I pulled in and rev'd the engine, I just about *** (let's say it reminded me of my honeymoon). It echoed back into the vehicle. I am going to make a vid of a drive byon Fri. and upload it if you guys want so you can hear it.
My only problem is now my fuel mileage has really went down hill. I was getting about 15 mpg, but now much less. I just can't seem to keep my foot off of the throttle. I realized I had a problem when I tried drag racing a Church of Christ van off of a stoplight just to hear my exhaust rumble.
Next job is putting a Super 40 on the wife's durango hemi

Man the 10 series must really rumble. I am from an area where everybody has straight pipes and glasspacks and I was scared that the Flowmaster would sound like that but just maybe a little better. Man was I wrong. It really sounds like the stock car racing sound you here every once in awhile from a sports car going past you. When I got it done, my wife called and asked if it fixed the problem (exhaust clogged killed power), I told her I hadn't had time to see if it ran better really because I was pulling a trailer, but it sure does sound faster.
First thing in the morning EST I will make a vid and upload it.
