Just a Thought
Just thinking the other day. How would using quick change gears for DD and a weekend of wheeling? I know you would have to get two sets of grears.Maybe you can't get a set for the front, I don't know.
Sorry about not getting back sooner. My wife had out first child on the 11th.
What I was talking about is quick change grears like in dirt track cars. Something like this

Those cars use the Ford 9" rear end. This axle doesn't have a removable diff cover like most others, instead the whole assembly comes out in 1 piece. It lookes like this

So they can have a few differend 3rd members with different gears already set up and then just swap them into the axle housing. Thats how they can change gears so quickly. On a 9.25 it'd be pretty hard. Once the initial set up was done you can just mark where the shims go and keep putting each one back where it belongs, but this will still shorten the life of the gears since it really won't be a "perfect" fit.
