Default Truck not starting! HELP!

Hey guys went to go somewhere this morning and the truck will not start. It turns over usual but will not fire. I did notice that im not hearing a noise from the rear when i put the key to the ON position. This leads me to believe that its the fuel pump. Any of u agree? It has been running really good. The only thing that was weird was i had bad gas mileage. Let me kno what u guys think.

Also, the truck is throwing the code p1494

it sounds like (if you cant hear the fuel pump when turning the key to on) the fuel pump is either shot, or the wiring has come apart or broke. I would start there.

Ok. well after a little messing around i fixed the problem it was really simple. I guess the relay burnt up or something. Put a new one in there and started again!

As for the code I have no idea what that could mean. Sounds like a bunch of jibberish to me.

good you got it fixed. the code is read from a fuel pressure sensor feeding into the computer. the error it is reading is the closest clue you would get.

A little update with my truck. So i thought I had it fixed and everything was fine. I was about to go mountain biking in the hills(i live in the black hills in SD) and i was coming up on the dodge service deparment and my truck DIES! I coast into the parking lot yanking on the wheel as hard as i can to find a parking spot. I talk to the service manager and he gets a bat and a fuel pressure gauge. We hook up the fuel gage and goes to the rear of my truck and tells me to try and start it. I turn the key and he smacks my gas tank a couple of times and it fires up nicely. So all in all i was quoted 332 to the fuel pump and 150 for labor. I just filled my tank yesterday... sucks for the mechanic.
