Default fault codes

I have a 95 Intrepid that'll blink the fault codes out on the check engine light. Is there a way to pull the fault codes off the computerof my 99 Ram without the diagnostic tool?

I found the instrument cluster check thing (ignition on while holding the trip reset) but that's pretty useless.

Help?

I think it only works on 94-97 year Dodges. If the truck is drivable, you can take it to your local parts (advance auto or autozone) store and they will check the code for you for free.
