What rear end oil to use ?

Default What rear end oil to use ?

Hey guys , I am going to be doinga gear change on my 2001 dodge ram 1500 2wd. What gear oil should i use ? Thanks for any help !

An 80/90 gear oil will work. Synthetic is nice, some people say they've seen a very minimal MPG difference.

Just did mine today. Valvoline 80w-90 in the rear, 75w-90 in the front.

I ran royal purple 75-140. Stuff's expensive but well worth it.
