Default 15.512 @ 87.00

I got down to Englishtown raceway finally after many years of wanting to. There was a handful of cars there today, so it was basicly unlimited runs. I did two sets of 5 hotlaps. Unfortunately no one went with me, so I dont have any videos . In the morning the track was very slick and traction was non-existant. After a few runs rubber accumulation finally warmed up the track (and caught it on fire for about a half hour till they cleaned up the mess) Once I finally got traction (to an extent, I still had to pedel it out of the hole) I started pulling some real numbers. I went with the goal of chopping .4ths off. I almost made it to 15.4s, but It was just a little too hot, so I had to settle for a 15.512 as my best of the day. Not too shabby I think. 15.805 > 15.512 with just exhaust work was a very nice accomplishment. I feel it would have been a 15.3 easy if it werent as humid and about 5 deg cooler (84 was the track temp) a posi unit would have done the trick as well.

R/T.... .159
60'..... 2.261
330.... 6.444
1/8.....9.927 (my first sub 10 sec 1/8th)
mph....70.67
1000....12.933
1/4.......15.512
mph.......87.00

against only the track.

they also had a scale there, so I weighed myself, 4725 at the beg of the day, and 4714 at the end. (thats a lota gas!)

exhaust clip for those whove wanted to hear it. just a quick 3k rev.

so, by my calculations that puts my truck just over 290 flywheel horse, could anyone verify that?

Nice!

Calculator says 87 mph at 4725 lbs would be 243 hp to the ground. If you're allowing 16% for drivetrain loss, thatwould be 290 flywheel. I don't know how much to allow for losses, but I think that sounds about right.

What mods do you you have now?
