Intermittently dies after start when pressing on brake or turning on headlights.

99 Ram 1500 5.2L 4X2 89,000 miles.

Been having intermittent problem for the past six months or so when I start the truck and either turn on the headlights or step on the brake to shift gears the truck will die. The odometer will flash from bright to dim intermittently, but all gauges indicate properly. Only dies when pressing on brake or turning on headlights, I can put any other electrical load on it, fan, ac, radio, interior lights, with no issues. The truck will idle rough, and I can restart the truck when it’s acting up and duplicate the problem, but after 15 min or so it magically clears itself up and have no more issues. Might then be good for a day, or a couple of weeks. Doesn’t seem to be affected by temperature or moisture level. Never had a check engine light and have checked multiple times for codes and nothing present.

Over the past six months I have….

Checked and cleaned the idle air control valve, tps, map sensor, pcm connectors, and ignition coil connecter. Had battery and alternator checked with no defects. Verified security and cleanliness of battery cables. Tried shaking harnesses while running rough at pcm, battery, fuse boxes, and under dash. Attempted to isolate electrical issue by pulling all fuses one at a time with out any luck.

Replaced fuel pump, distributor cap and rotor, wires, plugs, and pcv valve.

I plan on trying to check fuel pressure at the rail to see if something is causing the fuel pressure to fluctuate when turning on the lights, or if the coil output is reduced causing the truck to die. I feel confident I have some sort of electrical problem but I am running out of ideas and cringe at the idea of taking it to the dealer. Any ideas are much appreciated. Anyone with similar issues?
