I have an 95 2500 with the 5.2 my intake manifold is cracked and a buddy of mine has a spare one but it doesn't have the egr port on it. Could i just remove the egr from my vehicle and weld a plate on the exhaust manifold? Would i have a issues, lose power or throw a code?

 

Later model Rams dropped the EGR completely. Then they went back to it again. Go figure. I sure don't notice any difference. Al Gore might. And maybe your PCM will get upset trying to look for it. But no running issues.

Anybody actually remove theirs? Did it throw any lights or codes? Did it rum differently?
