Default 5 seconds to turn over engine..

Hey everyone. I am having a problem starting my 99 Dodge ram 2500. When I turn the key on a cold start it takes literally 4 to 5 seconds to get the engine to finally turn over.I just got it back from theshop where I askeda mechanictoreplace the starter. Well $335 later, it still doesnt start right up, still takes the 4-5 seconds. On a side note, the passenger power windows can not be rolled up with the passenger controls, only the driver controls, and the passenger speaker also went out recently as well. Could these be wiring problems that are drawing power from the car starting up? Mechanic looked at alternater, said was just fine. Serpentine belt recently replaced and not a problem. Lawn mowers are more my area, I could use some help from anyone out there who might have an idea what I should do. Thanks, Kevin

New fuel pump probably needs to be put in it

Mine does the same thing, but I had a new fuel pump put on less than a year ago. The problem seems to come and go though. It only seems to do it when there's people around to laugh at me.

1st, have your battery and terminal connections tested/checked.
You wouldn't believe all the problems that can cause. Seriously! Don't overlook the simple things. Then check fuel pressure. And spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor. None of this will cost you a dime.
Windows; does your truck have a lockout for the window control? i.e.child safety lock? Possible also that water got into the passanger door and had it's way with the switches, motor, speaker.
Just my 2 cents worth.

turn your key to accessory for like 10 seconds then crank it over and see what happens. If it turns over quickly it's probably your fuel pressure valve. That's what mine was. It's part of the fuel pump.

CPS, check for lose connection if it is intermittent, CPS is located near the bellhousing, trace wire up to connection and shoot some QD electronic cleaner
