RE: anyone have an 8 liter?
Which 8.0L does it have?
Alum viper 8.0 is in the 450-525hp range stock and has lots of parts available for it but 2nd mrtge required lol Summit sells Mopar Performanceparts for it or go to Hennessy (ouch)
Iron Ram 8.0 is in the 290-310hp range, (99 had 310)Makes 450lbs torque at 2800rpms and redlines at 4500 stock. If its got the 48re tranny behind it with a dana 60 it will be fine. If its a 9.25 rear end with a 46re trans probably wont last long especially if you add more hp/trq.
There were never many parts available to upgrade when they were being built. Since they stopped making them parts have dried up by the looks of it. Maybe able to find some on Summit or ebay.
Maybe someone else knows?

RE: anyone have an 8 liter?
I have added the K&N cold air intake which was a huge improvment over stock. The stock V10s draw air from behind the drivers headlight not the passenger fender like the V8s: the air intake tube is very restrictive.I also put high flow cats on it and run synthetic fluids. Be really careful with headers as you can't even see the last two plugs on the drivers side so you won't know the header bolts have backed off until it is too late. An exhust manifold gasket looks like a nightmare on that engine. Hope that helps a bit.
