Default need help

i have a question, hopefully someone can help me out. ok so the other day i went to a tire place to get some prices on tires.. well i asked him whats the biggest size i can go and he said 2 sizes up from stock tires. he said i think 265-75-16's.. now im not sure what that equals out too.. what size tire is that?? and is it worth it to upgrade from 245x75x16's to that size?? i need new tires anyways so any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

you can actually fit bigger tires than that. however each bigger size throws off the speedometer more. so watch out for speeding tickets, incorrect odometer, and incorrect mpg.

265/75/16 means 265 mm wide. the height is 75% of 265 (265mm x .75) and the 16 is a 16 in wheel.
as you go wider the tires can get too wide for the wheels and/or start hitting control arms and fender wells. as you go taller it can start hitting the fenders on the sides or top as you have the offroad package you have taller springs (lift) and lower gears (4.10) which MUCH better handle the bigger tires than the standard 3.55.

get a few more opinions from here for your 95 off-road, but i think you could go 285/75/16 without problems. i have those and my stock size was 225/75/16.

as far as how big they are, here are some calculators...
