oil presure

Default oil presure

just wondering if this is normal or i can do something. i've got a 01 w/360 @ >98000 mi. when i first crank my truck the oil pressure rises to almost max then it will start to fall and go down to under 40 on the gauge i' ve owned the truck for @ 8months changed the oil and filter@ 3000 miles regular kinda maint. just looking for any help to keep my ram running.thanks

its normal for oil pressure to fluctuate with temperature and rpm.
mine starts out cold well above 40. after it warms up it above 40 at driving rpm's, then below 40 at idle. i replaced the oil pump just to be doing and it didn't change anything.
