Default 20" wheels on a 01 ram

Does anyone know if the Dodge 20" chrome rims that come on the 02-07 Ram 1500's will fit on my 01' 1500?I've heard they will fine, but I've also heard that I will need a spacer. I alsohave been told that I'll have to reprogram the computer if they do fit. ($80.00 at the dealer). Any help would be appreciated!

I think they will fit but the backspacing is different, don't know the specifics but I remember reading before they are different. You don't necessarily need to reprogram your computer, the only thing that matters is the tire diameter difference, if your original are close, then it's probably not worth it.

so your speed will only be slow by (33-31.5)/31.1=4.76% so you'll be going 63 when your speedo says 60

With the right size tire the speedo will still be on.

You need spacers up front from what I've read. I was going to do this but didn't want to bother with the trouble.
