Default Cruise control fading

When I bought my truck 2 1/2 weeks ago, the cruise control worked fine.Thenon saturday, I made a 600 mile trip and found out that when I turned cruise control on, I'd start slowing down. I'm thinking that my cruise is bleeding off because I installed a throttle body spacer. So my question is, how do I adjust the cable so I can use my cruise control?

Does the cruise control engage but you slow down some? I was reading on one of the forums that if you are not traveling at a constant speed when you set the cruise that it will cause the vehicle to slow down before it engages. I believe it is true if you are accelerating also. From what I read you will have to re-teach the cruise control. You will have to engage it while maintaining a constant speed. It won't be taught by just doing it one time you will have to do it multiple times. I will try to find the link to the forum and post it.

If you could do that, I'd be greatfull. I talked to a guy at the dealership in town awhile back and he was trying to tell me that my solenoid is bad but I don't believe him because my cruise control worked perfectly before I put my t-body spacer in and since then, my cruise control hasn't worked right.

TB spacer won't mess with the cruise. As a matter of fact, it won't do much of anything! You may have a faulty servo, or vac lines. But, then again, it wouldn't hurt to lose the TB spacer either.
