My friend has a 97 dodge ram 5.7L 2 wheel drive auto. At first the transmission would rev real high before it shifted and it would accelerate slow, and now the Truck only goes as high as 25 mph. I wish I could give more info on this, but that is all he has told me.Would you think I need a new transmission? and if so, would it be cheaper to buya used one or have it rebuilt?Any info on this would be great. Thanks.

 

Need more info!!!Best bet is to put a scanner on it and read real time data!
