Default Tranny filter change

hey just wondering how much ATF +4 you guys added after dropping the pan and changing the filter. i bought 5 quarts at the store, but ended up accidentally grabbing a Dexcron quart that was sitting on the same shelf, but i added the 4 quarts that it says and i am still about a half inch low on the dipstick. i did take it for a 10 minute drive to heat up the fluid before i checked it, and all of the stores in town were closed later today so i will have to wait until tomorrow. sorry for the long post, but i am just wondering how much any of you guys added after a change. think i will pick up 2 more quarts tomorrow and that should be enough. thanks

i think on just a pan drop it's 7 quarts. full disassembly, cooler flush and new TC is about 12 from what i recall, there's a lot of fluid in there.

pan and filter takes about 6 - 7 qts to refill. be sure and check in neutral, something about not pumping while in park.

TC fill valve is closed in park, i think to prevent drainback.
