Default PCM replacement

Does anyone know how to replace the PCM? is that something I can do? or do I need to take it in, if I do how much will that cost me? thanks,

from what i know, you'd have to have the dealer program in the VIN, the basic swap is pretty simple, it's mounted on the firewall, passenger side with 3 big wiring harnesses on it.

For about the same thing the dealer will charge you, you could buy a used one and send it to B&G. They will flash your vin in along with some 'changes' that will make you think you are driving someone elses truck.

Easy. One 60 pin connector (5/16" bolt holding it in) three bolts holding it to the firewall (I think they are 5/16 or 3/8", can't remember). Takes 10-15 minutes. Make sure neg batt cable is disconnected!
