Cruise Control..... help

Default Cruise Control..... help

i was going out of town and i went to set the cruise control it didnt set. Cruise control would come on but would not set..... anyone know of anything i can check...

Look at your vacuum lines that control te cruise
Check the throttle cable for it too.
Aslo your Geolanders are actually Geolandars

Yeah, the things Fox Fader suggested but the complete vacuum system: tubing, check valve, resevoir, etc. Also, check the electrical connections for corrosion. One other thing, are all of your brake lights working? I know it sounds crazy but, the brake system is a switch for the cruise control system; i.e. you hit the brake pedal to disengage the cruise. The BOO switch (Brake On Off) sees a burned out brake light as an open circuit and can stop the CC from engaging. It can do other weird things too like rough engine at idle. The same holds true if the BOO switch is out of adjustment.

also have a look at the rear speed sencer, especially if your noticing your spedo flucating and/or you have an abs light on
