Default mopar pcm

i recently put in a mopar performance pcm in my 95 5.9 and i havent noticed the slightest difference in performance. all i have noticed is that it idles about 200rpm lower which is wierd cuz i thought it was supposed to raise the idle. the only other mod i have done is an open 14x2.75 round air cleaner. any ideas? thanks

Closer to stock you are the less it will do.It will also raise your WOT shift points and remove the mph limiter.
Where did you buy it and are you sure you got an MP PCM? Part # for 95 5.94x4 Federal/Cali is P5249546

Edit, if that is a auto that is, last 2 numbers will be 93 if manual (federal only)

yes that is the part number on mine. i snagged it off ebay for $77.99. i want to do exaust next but im not sure what setup (true dual, single in dual out) i want to go with. i want to gain hp without losing torque. 52mm fastman tb is also in the future for my truck. also.. would it do any harm to advance my timing with cps mod while the mopar pcm is in?
