Default Seat Belt Extender

Hey folks. I need some help. I need a seat belt extender for my 1999 ram 1500. It's a club cab if that makes any difference on seat belts.

I've found the extenders at a local dealership but they're $50. I was hoping to find some on ebay but the only one listed on there was around $60.

Does anyone know where I could find a cheaper one or at least a knock-off version for less?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Thanks for the suggestion. I also saw this type of extender out on the web. But the seatbelts in the 99s were the in-the-seat style. I can't figure out how to get these kind to work with my style of seat belt. Any suggestions?

All of this made me assume I'd need the kind of extender that has a male and female end to bridge the gap between seat belt ends in my truck.

I really appreciate the help!

My wifecomplained constantly about the length of the seat belt on the passenger side and one day while detailing I had an idea as a temporary fix. the input for the middle seat seatbelt is about twice the length of the passenger side one so I pulled it up so she could connect the seat belt to that one instead. I know it would only work for you'r passenger but its an idea. I don't know if you could unbolt it and swap it with the driver one but it might be an option. With gas prices any money saved is a good thing hehe[sm=bounceybounce.gif]

Try JC Whitney...

Maybe make one from aftermarket if they don't have one.

I just bought mine from Dodge, yeah they're really expensive, but are of very good quality. Personally, I wouldn't try to make my own, or buy a cheap knock-off. I like the satisfaction of knowing that the ones I use on a daily basis are the best, made by Dodge, and will keep me safe if I was ever in an accident. If I had a cheaper one or something homemade, I know that I would always have on my conscious whether they would stand up to the force of a collision, and that would just eat me up. IMHO
