tires??
I am about to put a two inch leveling kit on my 97 ram 1500 and i got new 15x10in rims and im planning on getting some 33x12.50s. I was thinking about getting BF Goodrich all-terrains or dunlop mud rovers. i waswondering what you think would be a good all around tire to buy.
the bridgestone dueler revo is a great all around tire and looks very aggressive and has a 50,000 mile tread warranty. If you'd like a more tradition styling AT look into the firestone destination at. I saw a ram with them on it and it look pretty sweet.
you said your considering the dunlop mud rover.
i have those right now.... its a great tire off road, excellent in mud. but they just dont last long on teh road. right now i have about 20k miles on them and ill be needing new tires by the beginning of '08.
if you have more of a farm truck that doesnt see much pavement, its a great tire. but it just runs itself bald WAY faster than a tire should.

Well, it depends on what you want first. Mud terrain or All terain. As far as good all around mud terrain I would go with the MTR. I ran 315ss on my 98 and that tire did awesome on street, mud and beech. Now I run the Kumho road venture a/t on my 01. This tire is not very aggressive looking but it is super quiet on the street and does pretty good in mud and sand. It was a good deal for 285s. The BFG a/t is better on small vehicles like Jeeps. They have poor wet traction but last a really long time. Check out Discount Tire's web site for some good mixed reviews.
