Default wheels/tires

since ive been hurt and cantrace motocross the past few monthsive been saving alot of money and I really want to do some work to my truck. i want some black 18-20" wheels, tires to go with it and a leveling kit to make it all look right. i work at Big O Tires so i get everything at cost+10%, but i still only want to spend $1,500ish.

im thinking that the right tire size to do would be 285/60-18 if i got 18's, but what would i go with for 20's?

and am i right for thinking a leveling kit would be best? i really dont want to lift it but if it would make it look that much better, i might have to.

also how much would a leveling kit run me?

all this is going on a 1998 dodge ram 1500 4x4.

thanks for any help.
