Engine revs down..
Just recently much truck started doing something that it didnt ever do. When I'm driving and let off the gas you can hear the engine rev down as if it were a manual. Hard to explain but I figure you all know what I mean. It acts as if it stays in gear at the same RPM the tires are spinning at and just kinda engine brakes down for about 2 or 3 seconds then drops on down.
I wouldnt be worried about it , but its just that It didnt used to do that, and I havent done anything new to it. Its a 97 1500 with the 5.9

you mean like when you down shift if you are driving a manual and shift from 5th gear to 4th gear at like 65 and it makes the back wheels chirp and the engine revs up because of the lower gear ratio that 4th gear has?
or am i misunderstanding

Your TV cable is misadjusted...
Mine does it for about a second if you come out from full throttle, but my trans shifts the best that way... you can completely get rid of it by adjusting the TV cable on the tranny.
