I was driving in the rain the other day and when i hit the brakes the back two(or maybe all four) locked up. Well now every time i start my truck the ABS light stays on another 5 seconds and dings at me like a low fuel ding and turns back off.

any suggestions?

2001 4x4 5.9
not sure if it has the optional 4wheel abs.

 

Easy way to tell if it is all 4 is to look underneath. If you have electric pig tails behind your front wheel hubs then you have 4 wheel ABS. If not then you have 2 wheel. The sensor for that is on the rear diff right in the middle on top. this is a comman sensor to go bad and i've check with the dealer before on this item for customers and they only want like $38.00 for it. Its an easy fix. Check the simple stuff first it might just bea low fluid level.
