rides like bulldozer!
PROBLEM: front of truck rides harsh on normal raods. It feels like it picks up every little bump.
PARTS REPLACED:4 newKYB monomax shocks, trac bar (2000 miles ago),new tires & alignment, newBorgeson steering shaft.
I did the shocks first and it help takeaway the shimmy. Then the trac bar was next and that helped a little. Now it just rides really harsh. I don;t know if this is because of the OFFROAD package or what. I do know the shocks I put on are heavy duty and might be a big part of the issue. Also, after I installed the trac bar I started hearing a popping durring turning articulation. What are some good soft shocksI could put in the front? I was looking at adjustables like the procomp and rancho. However, I haveused Rancho rs5000 before and got a rough ride out of them in the back.I just can't accept that this ride is normal. Everyone that rides in my Ram comments on how stiff it rides!

What is your tire pressure set at?
As far as the noise. check both ends of the trac bar for movement. Have a friend wiggle the steering wheel back and forth and look for any excessive movement at the steering and trac bar. Things may be a bit loose after few miles till they find there natural position.
I like the Pro Comp ES3000 shocks. They are definitly firmer than stock (way too soft for me) but not objectional.

I have Monroe Reflex shocks on my OFF-ROAD and the ride is very stiff too.
I can't afford to replace shocks on a whim so I've just learned to live with it and do a little more research the next time I replace them.

So, has anyone used the Procomp MX6 shock before? Does the adjuster really make difference in the ride? Is it worth being able to manually adjust for the money? I am looking to maybe put these up front only.
