heres some pics of my engine in the tear down process. right now my heads are off being rebuilt with a light porting job, tomorrow im dropping the block off to be baked, blasted, honed and all that other good stuff. then its getting new rings and bearings. depending what the engine guy says about my cams condition, im either keeping the stocker or getting a good torque cam from comp cams.

which heads are you cleaning up? (hopefully not the stockers!)

 

if they check out yes. if not another set the guy has on the shelf

 

why not get the new HDbare castings & build those? they are not too expensive considering everything your doing to the motor...

 

Damn, son! That engine looks as bad as mine when I tore it apart. At least I didn't have any chipped valves, but cracked valve seats aren't any better.

What are your plans? Stock, mild, or bad-***?

 

What happened to that Jeep engine?

 

i went to pick up the jeep engine, and low and behold it wouldnt spin. so i said FAWK THAT!!!!!!! i took the block today to get cleaned. i needs major work, the guy suggested just dumping it for a new one so thats what im doing, im picking up a remaned one hopefully sometime monday. then i think im just gunna put my goodies on it and leave it at that. im gunna ask him how much to put a cam in it for me. ( id do it myself but id void the 3 year unlimited mile warrenty) [8D]

 

dont void that warrenty. thats a good one to hang on to. good thinking.
