Intermediate shaft swap

Does anyone know if a intermediate shaft from an 01 ram can be put in a 99 dakota, they look the same but are the ends the same?

huh? intermeditate shaft like the one in the middle of the dana 44? i cant see how that would work since a daks ifs but....

No i mean the one in the steering. I have a dakota and the shaft is worn out, so i was going to buy one from an 01 ram on ebay cause they look similar but i wasnt sure if the shaft orends were the same size
