Default body lifts

I've never done a body lift before. Is it something that can be done in the drive way? I've installed suspension lifts on jeeps and grand cherokees. Is it good to do it instead of full suspension lifts just for tire clearance? Whats yalls opinion?

By the way, I'm thinkin' of a skyjacker 3" body lift. would this look stupid without an actual sus. lift?

I'm planning to do mine (3" Performance Accessories lift). Some kits require some welding, but most don't. If you have a few friends to help out, should be doable. I recommend the PA body lift kits, and you can read the install insctruction on their website if your interested in how hard it might be.

It can be done in a driveway but like said above your gonna need some friends cause yea lifting ur body up 3 inches isnt light lol. for tire clearance either will work but the body lift is gonna be alot cheaper.

i've got a 3" PA body lift on mine, and i installed itin a driveway with some power tools and a jack. I did it by myself as well. The hardest part of the whole thing was the welding that need to be done to the shifter linkage. (just so you know, it's the one that comes out of the steering wheel and down the firewall on the drivers side, NOT the one that goes directly to the trans...almost made that mistake!!!!) also doing it in the dark at 12 am is a bad ideal as well...lol
