I just bought a 01 sport 4x4 last weekend. The info tag on the door says the truck came with 16x7 wheels but the truck has 17 inch dodge five spoke wheels. does anyone know if this is part of the original upgrade?

Also will a 315/70/17 fit on my new ride?

Im looking at buying some Maxis Buckshot mudders. I know they will be ok for offroad but i dont want to be squirlly on the highways. If anyone has any input on decent mud tires that wont walk when on the highways im all ears...

 

u can ask around but i think the 315s will rub without a lift kit...i have the bfg mudder tires and i luv them....not squirly and good in the mud...not loud either!!!!

 

Does it have the OFFROAD package? The 17 inch wheels are factory Dodge. They came with a 275/75r17 from the dealer. I am running 285/70r17 and they rub very slightly when turning.

 

no you wont get 315/70/17 in there without a lift

 

I'm getting Kumho 285/70-17's installed on mine tomorrow morning and I was wondering if it would rub.

A friend of mine owns a repair shop and beat out all the competition's prices - less than $550 out the door![sm=happy046.gif]

 

yeah they might rub on the most extreme turn or slamin a bump but not to bad!!!

 

If I totally lock my steering out you can hear the control arms grinding.
