Default Post Your Speaker Brand and Model so....

... we will know what fits.
Since there is limited room up front I thought we should post the model we have so others know what will fit.

In-dash stereo
7-3/8" depth; Size code CG,E,GC,IR,SR,UR<< clicker

Front speakers
Front Door : 6x9

Rear speakers
Rear Door : 5-1/4"

Tweeters in a-pillar = Infinity
1"

Installation kit and wiring harness available at Wal-Mart
FCJ1276A - Scosche install
CR01 - Scoche wiring

Also, this afternoon while putting my 6x9's in up front I dedcided to check and see whats going on with the amps on the Infinity system.
While looking I found out that these (one on each front speaker) are not amplifiers, they are powered filters. While tapping into the signal before the filter then after, I found that these filters actualy warm the signal, not boostit so I decided to keep them in cause the sound is quite a bit better (warmer) with them in.I'm using a new Kenwooddeck.

I used these Lightning Audio B3.69.3 by Rockford Fosgate. These just did fit and sound really good, I found them at Wally World for a little less than $40.

This is how I wire tied the filters to stay on. Mount the filters at the top when putting them in the doors.

Right door.

Right now I have some sony 3 way 6x9's in the doors... they fit fine.

These arnt my speakers, nor would I buy anythign branded sony... it all sucks.

I usually get my stuff from millionbuy.com becasuse they have very good prices, and they have lots of specs.. most speakers will have the speker depth listed so you know whether they will fit or not.

Im going to be getting some pioneer 3way 6x9's in the front, probalbly some pioneer 5 1/4's in the back or punch it out to 6x9 or just build them into my sub box and not even use the stock location.

I got a Pioneer 6900 H/U (Which is the one thing that I bought for my truck that I am totally satisfied with). Pioneer 6X9's in the front doors and 6 1/2's in the back. Two Rockford Fosgate 10" subs with a 450.4 Rockford Fosgate amp. I know that may seem like a small amp, but believe me it more than pushes my subs. Max power on that thing is 1900 watts! I also have a 500K capacitor. Soon I will be installing blue neon tubes under my seats and one above my amp and subs.

Cool, I just found my 2 8" Competition Kicker subs and a Pioneer amp down in the storage room, now I'm gonna have a little punch in the system.

pioneer single cd head.
rockford 200.2 amp
rockford p1694 speakers. 6x9 4 way. barely fit but really sound good. 1/4 in shim out to clear window. very slight bulge on door panel, maybe 1/4 in. probably could have set them 1/8 deeper.
rear speakers unplugged at head.

When you guys put these in did they have an adapter harness like most cars do or can you just cut the plug off at the speaker and use the factory wires or did you have to rewire them from the H/U or amp? I apparently have a factory amp as I could only get sound out of my aftermarket H/U if I hooked up the remote turn on lead wire. I'm just wondering if I will have to run new wires or if I can just plug speakers in right there? I'm thinking of going with the Alpine 70x4 watt amp and some Polk either DB or Momo 6.5" components up front and some Polk 6.5"s coaxials in the rear. I have been thinking about this setup for a while as I can get deals on it but if I can just plug speakers in I can just get some cheap speakers to use in the meantime until I have enough that I want to spend on that setup.

You just use the factory plugs, they are normal. There's no need to rewire.

Also if you read my first post you will see that there no amp just a powered filter that I feel works awesome!

My frined does car audio, so hes doing all of my rewireing for my truck.. he ran all new wires from the preouts to the amp, and then new wires from the amp to the speakers and subs.

Onything that the stock harness powers is the units power.. and thats it... along with the antenna.
