I want to find out what you guys think and know about supercharging an 01 with a 5.9? Whether you've heard positive or negative feedback, what company is on top, mpg changes, tranny issues, pretty much anything.. Thanks

I'm a bit curious myself. I've been considering getting a supercharger in the future but $5000 is a lot of change to drop at one time.

74% power increase is not going to happen at8psi boost....you might get another 30-40 peak HP but thats about it. Of course there's always the potential to increase that number more withrelated mods. Just make sure you have upgraded the plenum pan on the intake, a supercharger will blow the factory one out for sure.

Bone stock truck, adding a supercharger best to add at least a shift kit, big trans cooler and deep pan with a temp gauge on it. If its been serviced and not beat on, should be ok. Adding other mods like tb, m1, cam, heads etc, etc, will push the envelope and upgraded internalsthe smart route to go on both the motor and trans. Brake and cooling upgrades will be needed as well.
