Default uh oh

Ok, so today i decided to do the TPS mod cuz the voltage was at .63. I did that and set the voltage to .72 . I figured since i was there i would clean the IAC. It was pretty dirty so i cleaned it and stuck it back in. Also noticed the throttle body was pretty dirty. So i wiped clean with a rag the crud on the butterflies. Went to fire it up and it wont idle! It has had a surging problem for a while now where if you hold the throttle in one spot it surges 200ish rpms. Dont know if its something i did but it runs great other than not idling.

Did you use new gaskets on the TB and IAC?
Alot of times, surging is due to vacuum leaks. You may have messed up the IAC too. Did you play with it at all or just clean it? Moving the pintle in and out can screw them up.

try resetting the pcm by disconnecting neg. battery and turning key to start for 30 sec.
that might cause it to 'find itself'.
moving/twisting the plunger thingy can break it.
new IAC is about $50 at parts store. new TPS is about $40.
ALSO.. if TPS is registering that you are mashing the gas (based on voltage), then it won't activate the IAC. -more reason to reset pcm.
