Default Rumple Strip

Well I have not been in this forum for a bit since I just purchased my CTD, which I am very pleased with thus far, but I am had to keep my faithful gasser as a utility pickup. I have had a WAHAA----WAHAA----WAHAA noise coming from my rearend for a long time now, and I have just never done anything about it. As or late I have noticed that while I am driving at highway speeds I get ai noise that is real similiar to that noise you get when you run out of the lines, and hit those rumple (wake up) groves. If I left off the pedal a bit it goes away, but it always comes back while I am cruising.

I am wondering what is the cause, and what I need to do to fix this issue. Thanks guys, you have always helped me out so much.

well,i would (warning: following advice is from a carpet cleaner, not a mechanic) change your dif fluid and check the gears for chips and metal chips in your fluid. you could also check things like your u-joints.
could be bearings
could also be coming more from the front of the truck. if you hear it at higher speeds the noise can travel and sound like its coming from the rear.

honestly WAHAA----WAHAA----WAHAA sounds more like my neighbors kids. if my truck sounded like that too, i would be freaked out.

WAHAA, WAHAA, WAHAA? Isn't that the two old ladies from the Capital One Motorcycle Fraud commercial?

I usually get that rumple strip sound aftter a mean bowl of chili...

I would guess if it's only onthe gas and in the back it might be an exhaust problem???
