A/C problem
The a/c is blowing hot air out.I filled the system with r-132a.Thelower line cold and you can see the moisture on the line and the compreeser stays on but the air inside is still hot.Any help would be great,Thank you.
The a/c was cold and working fine with the compressor coming on.Friday it just stopped putting cold air out, the air coming out of the vents are the same as if i just had the vent on.Just wondering could it be the orphice plug.
I've had a clogged oriphice tube (also called expansion valve) before, but it was just the symtom of bad things to come - compressor failure. The exp valve has screens to filter small parts out of the a/c system, so if it's clogged, somethings usually gone wrong somewhere. I'm not saying that this is what happened to you, just explaining. Hoping for you its a blend door/vacuum control problem. I'm guessing you used a store bought can of r-134 kit that u popped on the a/c line to top it off. Was the compressor cycling rapidly before the top off or did you notice?Does it blow cold at all before the engine warms up? The lines from the compressor - the small one should be hot to the touch, and the large one very cold.
