I am brave and stupid in that I want to rebuild my own Dodge transmission. I don't trust repair shops, because if those people are so damn well trained, why must a customer come back two, three, or even more times after having a transmission rebuilt? I won't even get into some of the stratospheric prices some shops charge. Plus, I like to learn new skills and maintain my own vehicles.

With that said, I am looking for a source for parts as well as a rebuild manual for the Dodge Ram 1500 automatic transmissions. Any help is appreciated.

 

in our shop we use ALLDATA .. Now any one can use it on line for a fee think its 24.95 a year , and seeing all the work you are doing i think its worth it...Brave yes stupid no ,as far as parts go we use so many different companies... The key factor is take your time and keep everything clean (parts)
