Default Running Temp on 96 2500 V10?

I've been told that the Dodge Ram 2500 4x2 V-10 should run close to 200 degrees while running........When I'm driving mine, and today it is 100 degrees outside, the operating temp is only about 160.................I dont have any check engine lights on or anything, but I do have a crazy miss that I cannot figure out......................besides that, I got 14 mpg on the last fillup...........should I even worry about the temp with that kind of mpg or should I concentrate on the miss? Plugs, wires changed, and OBDII scanned with no codes...................totally lost

Nice!

14 Mpg's you must be doing alot of highway driving, I have a 99 Ram v10 and average 8-10 combined city highway.

I don't really notice the temp gauge, don't have any warning lights come on.

I live in arizona, in the middle of summer I know the tempgets higher than normal even at highway speeds. I will make note of what my temp range is and get back to you.

as far as the miss not sure what to tell you. knock on wood I don't have that.
