Need some easy information
Well I am about to do plugs and oil in my 98 5.2. I drove it in high school but my dad always did the maintenance on it and I did on my old Jeep so I am unsure as to what you guys think is the best for all this stuff. What oil and what weight do you guys prefer? I run amsoil 5w20 in my 06 and I love the stuff, but the 98 is just a weekend warrior and not a daily driver so I am not picky and do not prefer to spend alot on full synthetics for it. How many quarts does she drink as well? Once again my 06 likes 7 and I have no idea for this truck. What plugs do you guys reccomend and what should they be gapped too?
Also, I believe my U-joint in my rear drive shaft is about to go as I get a real bad clicking from the rear end when I coast, What is the stocl replacement size and where do you guys think the best place to buy one is? Thanks every one for any info.

If you're not going to spend the money on full synthetic purchase a quality 5W30 blended synthetic. My old 5.2 used to take 5.5 qts when I changed the filter also.
As far as spark plugs, I am unsure of the gap but the sticker under your hood should state it. It's probably around .40 but don't quote me on that. I use Autolite 3923's for my plugs because I have a performance engine with a lot of modifications and the plugs are one heat range cooler. However, for your truck I'd recommend purchasing the recommended Champion plug.
You'll have to check with NAPA or one of the other parts dealers for your replacement U-joint. Most of the parts stores purchase their U-joints from the same manufacturer so go somewhere you are comfortable. As far as quality, I have usually found the stores offer multiple versions of the same part, but in heavier duty and I purchase the heavier duty part.
Good luck.
