Transfer case prblem
When i put myautomatic transmisionin drive or reverse i get this clunking sound from the transfer case . I have had truck up on jack stands cluncking from the transfer case. could the transfer case chain be lose or jack shaft. transmision does not slip.

Its not bad and theres nothing wrong with your gears. They're worn in the way have have been for years, so changing it would cause alot more problems.
You can either:
1. get use to it and ignore it, since its normal for all solid rear end vehicles
or
2. Get new gears set up, but they'll end up being the same way after use and they get worn in.
