The merge is still a long ways away and not even 100%......even if it happens you will keep whatever subscription you have till its up. Did you call and activate your unit?

*edit* I guess I should read that whole thread huh?[:@] You will still have to get a tuner box with the radio....fyi

With an aftermarket radio you can control the satelite radio(change chanel) but you still have to get the tuner box to receive the satelite signal.

k if you activated the radio wich im sure you did they should have gave you very specific instructions on what do to after you activated it. Leave it on for 20 min on channel 7after 20 minutes flip to every channel until you get back to channel 7 leave the radio on for a lil bit longer (while your flipping through the stations dont stop) make sure for some extremly weird reason your antenna is facing south... WHY i have NO idea lol. Btw i work for best buy so we do this alot . i ignore the facing south thing. If it still dosnt work call xm and ask them to disconnect and reconnect your radio because your radio didnt take the orignally programming they sent to it. they shouldnt have a problem with this, just make sure u flip to channel 1 or 0 and your XM radio id will show up they need that, and as far as the merger, sirus already bought xm your subscriptions will stay the same, you wont notice any difference, just like when cingular bought at&t and 6 months later at&t bought cingular back
