I would go with red, or chrome them!

Get some contrast under there, so when you pop your hood it looks like a jewel sitting inside a case!

Buddy went with an orange block and did all his brackets in blue as well as valve covers. I dont think it works cause its overkill. As mentioned, you need some contrast.
Powder coating the pieces you can get a closer matchand have a much more durable finish but it will cost a lot more too. Regular powder coating is good to about 400F max.

I used duplicolor ceramic caliper paint ona lot ofpieces on my motor and suspension. Brushing on 2 coats and spraying on2 coats gave a nice finish. I went with black on the block and timing cover, M1 alt/ac braket and pwr steering bracket in silver then few smaller brackets in blue with powder coated valve covers.
